This 1950’s traditional cottage started life out with two bedrooms, a lounge and a dining room plus a bathroom and separate kitchen, but sadly fell into disrepair over many years.
The new Australian owners gave the design team at Mantas a “Free Hand” to remodel the property and “Open It Up” to modern standards, and in keeping with Antipodean styling, the emphasis being on space and light whilst retaining the “Greek look”.
The property was gutted to a bare shell with internal walls being removed and the original wooden floors were removed and replaced with concrete.
From this the Mantas team were able to work with a blank canvas and reconfigured the internal space to accommodate two double bedrooms, a huge open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen, and added a fully fitted bathroom by building at the rear thereby saving on that all important internal space.
Huge bi-fold doors were installed to the lounge offering plenty of light and capturing the amazing views from this hillside property.
New kitchen units were installed along with internal doors and latex flooring, and tiling.
As well as all the remodelling, the property underwent a complete repaint inside and out and as is evident from the before and after pictures the end result is truly stunning and an amazing transformation. To any eye, this simply looks “Nothing Like The Same property”.
